At the beginning of March 2018, Pie Insurance, an InsurTech startup, rolled out the “first online workers comp policies” in 4 states: Arizona, Georgia, Illinois and Tennessee. Established in May 2017, the company focuses on the small business workers comp market and plans to be in 15-20 states by the end of 2018. At the beginning of June 2018, Pie Insurance announced the expansion of coverage to 3 additional states: Colorado, Louisiana and Texas.
