In reaction to Bank of America’s mid-January announcement to end its free checking account, Aspiration, an online financial services company that takes a unique conscience-driven, customer-centric approach to banking and investing, responded with a pointed marketing campaign targeting Bank of America customers. The campaign includes an email written through the perspective of an existing Bank of America customer, social media marketing, a microsite, and a $12 offer to BofA customers that switch.
