In early April, Barclays announced the launch of the new Barclays Arrival Premier World Elite MasterCard which carries an annual fee of $150. The card does not come with a sign-on bonus but rather rewards long-term loyalty with its rewards structure: each year cardmembers can earn up to 25,000 loyalty bonus miles after spending $25,000 on purchases.
In addition, the card includes the following benefits:
- Unlimited 2X miles on every purchase
- $100 statement credit for one global entry application fee
- MasterCard Airport Experiences
- No foreign transaction fees
- Miles transfer to participating travel loyalty programs
- Suite of World Elite MasterCard benefits such as extended warranty, purchase protection and more
Our team wanted to share the first observed announcement from Barclays that was sent to existing Barclays cardmembers. Messaging in the email emphasizes the focus on long-term loyalty benefits – “At last, a premier global travel card with rewards that last.”
